Don't misunderstand me, but on this list we are all pretty sure of certain
things the win/osx world has never faced with... just think about the whole
client/server basics of jack, this step (and many others) is beyond a
simple OS installation.
I wiped off win since 2005 but as far as I remember, the
cubase+reason+halion approach was quite straightforward for the majority of
people I knew, while the first thing I had to face with was a 2.4 kernel
compile with a capability.h tweaking, ardour was 0.97 :-)
Back to my point of view about the topic and quoting myself
what really sucks is this overall geek approach of LAD vs end users
linux (at least audio) community should remove this "gap" to let more users
in, those ones with less IT skills and interest focused on music.

Only for those who started on the win/OSX box. "Intuitive" and &q=

harder. I don't have a Mac to play with, but some of my boxes have come=
with windows on them... Windows is to hard to use, easier to wipe it off

something, it makes me feel lost.
The easiest learning curve is what you learned first.=
