Better later than never... just wanted to let you know about the
existence of a live dvd/usb that, I hope, may interess some
linux audio adictos here :)"io GNU/Linux is a live system that turns almost any computer into a=20
professional multimedia workstation. It includes a real-time enabled kernel=
=20
and a great collection of free software for all uses (sound, video, graphic=
s,=20
internet and more)."
http://sourceforge.net/projects/io-gnu-linux/It's based on Debian SID and built whith the Debian Live tools.
JACK2 combined with Ladish/Laditools is used as default sound server (you
may need first to set up phonon to prefer JACK over Alsa for KDE related
apps)Don't hesitate to give it a try and for sure, any feedback more than
welcome.Hope this helps, cheers ;)
