VMPK is not a FluidSynth front-end, it is a virtual piano. VMPK and QSynth are
complementary applications for graphic desktops (Linux, Windows and Mac). You

compatible MIDI synth) when you connect both programs.

What you probably read is about an application that I've published a few weeks
ago for mobile phones (Nokia N9/N950) combining (statically linked) VMPK and
FluidSynth, because on these small devices is not easy (or even possible) to
connect two MIDI applications together.
