And the blockbuster hit thing, I fully agree. It won't happen again on
such a big scale. I've read several articles on this subject and quite
some music journalists are of the opinion that superstardom doesn't
really exist anymore. The big stars of say 15 years ago have no more
contemporary equivalents. There's no new Madonna, no new U2, no new
Bruce Sprinsteen. There is Lady Gaga, there is Kings of Leon, there is
The Gaslight Anthem but they're even more faded echoes then the
aformentioned examples of Ken (Nevermind and OK Computer).
Some even say pop/rock music will develop itself just like poetry did.
