Use the source - quick, dirty & pragmatic.

Assuming you're on debian:
sudo apt-get build-dep caps

sudo apt-get install fakeroot dpkg-dev

cd /tmp/

apt-get source caps

cd caps-0.4.2

ed  Click.cc << EOF

/"bpm"

+

+

s/244/360/

w

EOF

dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot

sudo dpkg -i ../caps*deb
There may be issues - e.g. internal timing or accuracy with faster BPM.

You'll need to read the source or ask Tim to be sure.
