Thanks for the "cpan Digest::SHA" command to install SHA facitilites.

Doing that command as normal user and super user returned to a blank

prompt.  So I'm assuming no errors.
Next I downloaded the Audio-Ecasound-Multitrack-0.9971 tar and

extracted into /root/.cpan/build
Then....

I think it's best I wait for the updated 0.9971 version to hit the

cpan repositories.  I am totally ignorant about Perl.
