the jack pcm plugin for alsa is not included. You can get this enabled
by rebuilding the appropriate pkg (libasound2-plugins) though.
i read this and got worried; what does the jack pcm plugin let me do, or more specifically, what can't i do without adding it to a ubuntu studio install?  i tried to google it but did not understand what i read.
