Hi David. Thanks for the help. I also looked back on a reply from Dave

Phillips, which said almost the same.
I now have Azr3 running, and playing ok on Fedora 8. Azr3 wouldn't compile on

Debian Etch, but I'll try on my Lenny install. I know it compiles on Sid, as

Dave Phillips confirmed it, but Sid's a bit too near to the edge for me. 
Some time later, and dependency problems on Lenny. An apt-get update/apt-get

get dist-upgrade shows some 292MB of updates, so It's going to be at least

18hrs on dialup before I can try the Azr3 compile again. 2 of the dep

complaints were libgtkmm, and liblash, and I see they are are being upgraded.

I tried to install the devel packages for these, but probably because there

are are new versions of these packages waiting to be installed, the devel

versions of the current installed packages are no longer available, and is

why apt-get was complaining it couldn't find them.
Being on dialup, I'm used to being very patient, so I'll see how it goes.
I also have Archlinux installed on the same machine, and the updates to the

latest package versions are quite impressive. I'll have a quick look, and see

if Azr3 will run on that without too many problems.
