To be honest I don't think that this will ever be possible. There are too m=
things that can and should be optimized to do hd-recording. That is why=20
manufactures don't allow you to fuzz with their hardware, its tuned and the=
don't want to support you when you changed it.
And that is why this list exists (among other reasons): To give people hint=
and help on how to tune your system for hd-recording.
Another reason why these live-distros will fail definitely: If its not your=
computer or only a windows-computer you boot with the live-cd, it won't hav=
enough free diskspace to do recordings. If it has (and if there is already =
linux installed) why boot a live-cd?
It could work for playing synths, when you don't promise low-latency for=20
everybody, but for hd-recording its not working.
Just my two cents of opinion,
