> But where can I get the bass and the electric piano on Linux?
I use the jRhodes3 soundfont from
with FluidSynth for electric piano. It's a nice clean recording, so
you can apply effects to taste: the CAPS amp/cabinet simulators are a
must, with autopanning/tremelo/chorus/phasing before them depending on
what sort of sound you're after. Make sure you crank down your
keyboard's sensitivity so you only get the highest velocity layer when
you hit the keys hard.
