The new udev (anything greater than .79) is required, however, and thus far=

 I've been unable to

coax it to work entirely properly (permission creating syntax is

different, for example, and FC3's start_udev script fails to start udev

properly... at the moment I'm firing off udev and chmodding -R a+rw

/dev/*, which is ugly....
