I'm not sure about the capabilities of audacity, but most built in
hardware mixers in multi-I/O soundcards are capable of functioning as an
aux send and return pair which you could use to access the Lexicon reverb
and the EQ on the mixer. You should also be able to use the compressor in
a similar manner, and also as an input stage to any card that will take
the appropriate line level from it. I have a Delta 1010 and one of the
nice features on it is the fact that it's got a switchable line level
(+4/-10) on every I/O pair.
It might be worth looking into getting a simple quarter inch patch bay so
that you have some flexibility with all of your hardware.
