Hi Rosea, can you elaborate how do you use arguments with clients using
exec?
Can you post here an example with yoshimi just to name an application
supported in NSM?

is there any document where to read more about NSM other than
http://non.tuxfamily.org/nsm/ ?

Thanks for your help.

=A0 =A0The API is explained on this website:
=A0 =A0http://non.tuxfamily.org/nsm/__API.html
=A0 =A0<http://non.tuxfamily.org/nsm/API.html>

=A0 =A0Developers can build patches for their software to support NSM, as<=

=A0 =A0they can do for JS and Ladish. At the moment only non-daw, non-seq,=

=A0 =A0non-mixer and yoshimi (patch available).

=A0 =A0Atm their are more applications with JS support (Ladish supports
=A0 =A0ladi, JS and NSM):

=A0 =A0Moreover, NSM seems to have features JS lacks, but which could be a=

=A0 =A0Also some people (Fons, Liles, Nedko) think that JS has it's

NSM
=A0 =A0could gain wider support probably.

=A0 =A0At first sight, NSM looks to me more promising then JS does, e.g. i=

=A0 =A0has more chance to become really useful and to get broad support in=

You are able to start the client via the Non Session Manager GUI. If you ne=
ed to add arguments to the client, you can do this via a script using the e=
xec command. Liles is going to write a proxy app to make this more easy. Wi=
th the client jackpatch you can make the connections. You have to manually =
save the clients who doesn't support NSM in this situation.

Iirc this is also possible with JackSession, but it's not implemented i=
n Qjackctl and I'm not sure how this works at the end. At least in NSM =
it seems to be more easy, with a nicer workflow.
