rgareusssj71: no12:33
rgareusssj71: unless maybe you mean the GUI & use Ubuntu compiled setBfree & Ardour.12:35
rgareusthey screwed up idle interface (different versions of LV2 specs were used to compile sbf and ardour)12:36
rgareushttps://community.ardour.org/node/869212:37
rgareusbut sound itself should be just fine.12:37

ssj71rgareus: I should attempt again. I freshly built sbf from git. as a workaround I used carla as a plugin to host it17:22
ssj71falktx: BTW carla as a plugin is pretty much the best thing ever. No more messing with linux sampler, if anything doesn't work in ardour it does in carla in ardour...17:23
rgareusssj71: in that case tr problem is likley similar. you build setbfree with "requires" idle interface (that's the default if you have lv2-dev > 1.6). but ardour from Ubuntu does not support LV2 idle17:25
rgareusssj71: the GUI will remain blank.17:26
rgareusssj71: or what is the specific issue? what distro are you using?17:26
ssj71rgareus: ardour from kxstudio does not idle? It actually produced an error dialog and said it could not load the plugin17:26
ssj71it said there may be more info in the log but there was not17:27
ssj71I haven't run it in a terminal and tried yet17:27
rgareusaah ardour/kxstudio. that's upstream ardour from ardour.org  and yes that does support LV2 idle17:27
rgareusssj71: could you please pastebin the output of    lv2info http://gareus.org/oss/lv2/b_synth  ?17:28
ssj71no I'm not at the machine any more17:30
rgareusssj71: will you be back at that machine someday?17:31
rgareusin any case. There'll be a new setBfree release within the next 2 weeks. that may solve the problem by other means (debian is quick packaging it and falktx is even faster picking that up).17:32

ssj71rgareus: hopefully soon. Its my studio machine. I'm at work now17:42
ssj71once the new release comes I'll try it out again and report if theres an issue17:54

rgareusssj71: new release will be current git, minus a few potential packaging bugs18:22
*** tytel has quit IRC18:40
falktxrgareus: btw, I'm soon going to make a dpf-plugins release inspired by your x42-plugins18:55
falktxmakes it handy for packagers. hopefully debian will pick it up18:55

* falktx needs to find AndreeCZ and ask for a combined JuicePlugins release18:56

rgareusfalktx: that's great news. feel free to liberally copy the scripts if you need them19:20
rgareusfalktx: as you may have seen, it's basically a simple script: "get latest tag of every submodule"19:21
rgareusand use date of latest tag as version-number.19:21

ssj71how big a deal would it be to change all my plugin URIs? I'm leaving sourceforge and want my plugins to point to the new site23:47
ssj71I figure not enough people are using them yet to cause a big stir23:47
