BigstevEHello. If anyone can help, what exactly constitutes the lv2 SDK? Would this mean the lilv C library? I plan on compiling the x42 Simple Scope.19:24
drobillaThere isn't really an "LV2 SDK"19:44
drobillaLilv is a host support library.  Plugins do not generally depend on it.19:44

BigstevEThanks drobilla. "LV2 SDK" was quoted from Robin's README notes on most all his x42 lv2 plugs as a requirement on compiling the plugin along with the usual gnu-make, gcc, gtk2 etc. Must have taken it too literally.19:56

Anchakorthat is probably the lv2 core19:57
Anchakorusually a distro repository package named "lv2" or "lv2core"19:58
drobillanot "lv2core"19:58
drobillathat predates the unified distribution19:58
Anchakorah ok19:58
drobillaBigstevE: That'd be talking about LV2.  i.e. lv2-x.y.z.tar.bz219:58
drobillapackage will be "lv2" or "lv2-dev" or some such19:58
BigstevEOK. well my '/var/log/packages' shows lv2core_4.0 lv2dynparam1_2 & slv2-0.6.6.20:01
BigstevEI know slv2 is outdated, and my audio workstation has newer packages, but how does the unified distribution differ?20:02
BigstevESorry for the redundant question. I'll check up on it myself and rtfm.20:04
BigstevEThank you for the continual innovating of the LV2 standard in general. Though I'm really not a programmer I find Ingen to have fascinating implications.20:15
BigstevEHope to interface it somehow with various MIDI plugs like the midimsg-lv2, midifilter.lv2, and the default LADSPA/LV2 MIDI CC manipulation plugs to come up with something that enhances the abilities I currently have using general MIDI controller keyboards to operate Ardour, for example.20:21
