jablo1Why does the pulseaudio jack bridge seem to apply a high-pass filter, and how can I remove it?09:45
louigijablo1: What do you mean?09:47
jablo1Good question. It's something that's been bothering me, that apparently when I played sounds through my browser, there would be less bass than if I played the mp3 directly to jack from audacity e.g. Somehow it's not there. Must be pilot error then.09:53
falktxlouigi: I imported the patch rui mentioned on that blog post09:56
falktxjablo1: could be resampling09:56
louigifalktx: ty very much, really appreciate it09:59

JackWinterjablo1: i've also noticed that the web sounds very bad.  probably a question of the server not serving the original file.  it won't be jack doing it though...12:36

JackWinterlike if i upload an audio file to dropbox and listen to it in my browser, really sucky sound, load it in some program locally and play it, and quality is back12:37
louigiInteresting. I never experienced anything like that. I should take a look at this, maybe I just did not notice12:45

plex_daveHey hey.  On one of my machines, no matter what we do, when we hit stop on the pulse bridge in cadence, it restarts itself within a couple seconds.  All of our machines are configured exactly the same way and this is the only one behaving like this.  Any thoughts on why this might be?21:25

snadgeplex_dave, that machine must really love pulse23:08
snadgei can't really say for sure.. but what i can say is.. i have my pulse auto spawn set to false or whatever it is23:08
snadge /etc/pulse/client.conf  ; autospawn = no (uncomment)23:09
snadgethat will stop pulse auto respawning when you kill it anyway23:09
snadgebut it also prevents it from spawning on first start23:09
snadgeif i want to use pulse i have to either start it from cadence, or from the commandline.. pulseaudio -D23:10

plex_daveRight, and our other machines behave exactly as you are describing.23:29
plex_daveEvery machine is configured the same.  Ubuntu studio 16.04 with KX repositories and the "meta-all" package installed.23:29
plex_daveI meant to say none of our machines start up with pulse running, except this one.23:30
plex_davethank you for your help!23:30
