CyBerNetXbonjour07:59
CyBerNetXma kxstudio ne veux pas se connecter sur le wifi connu (wps) je suis aubliger de pairé a chaque nouvelle connexion08:00
CyBerNetXya t il un moyen08:00
CyBerNetXc est bien NM ?08:00
CyBerNetXnmcli ?08:01
CyBerNetXsous kxstudion c est du QT non?08:04
ChaosFanCyBerNetX: you have a higher chance of getting your questions answered if you ask them in english.08:07
ChaosFanbut as far as I know the kxstudio distro deactivates network manager as it's known to cause xruns08:07
ChaosFanand some wifi chips also cause xruns, so you should consider disabling both while doing music-related stuff08:07
CyBerNetXoki08:10
CyBerNetXthanks08:10

JackWinterChaosFan: why would NM cause xruns?  i agree about some the possibility of certain drivers to cause xruns though..09:16
ChaosFanJackWinter: falkTX once said that NM regularly polling the network interfaces for connectivity causes xruns on some machines09:19
JackWinterweird09:19
JackWinterbut i suppose that might be chipset related09:20

_xshey, I just want to signal out that using lvm + lucks with the installer works, however after the first upgrade, dpkg shoot the system out because he put lvm2 and rebuild an initramfs without lucks support automatically...11:24
_xsthis is possible to reinstall an initramfs with lucks and cypher supports by a chroot but, I consider it a packages selection bug. What gents, do you think about that ?11:25

industroHi,  when you run jack_iodelay does it do a send to all audio interfaces on your machine, or just one?  I got no detectable signal with a TRS cable from in1 to out1 on a presonius firebox.17:16
falktxit sends to whatever interface jack is using17:16
*** HarryHaaren has joined #kxstudio17:18
industroOK.  I was using qjackctl and had the firebox in use via the ALSA driver.  Under teh firewire driver there are no interfaces selectable in the drop down...   all ffado sw packages are installed.17:18
_xshello gents17:30
_xsfalktx: first thanks for all... don't mind about that, i'm comming with a kind of packages bug about lvm2 + lucks and the initramfs script in debian17:31
_xsjust to signal it out: if lvm lucks volumes are choosen in the installer, it works well. However dpkg marks lvm2 unused and removes it after an upgrade17:32
_xsI think that's a debian related bug on packages17:32
falktxhmm17:33
falktx_xs: so which package should be left installed?17:34
_xsespecially lvm2 and cryptsetup I guess, but not sure precisely17:34
_xsthe problem is when auto-removed, the hook calls a initramfs to be rebuilt, then it losses lucks and cyphers supports17:35
falktxI see17:35
falktxI do remove the auto-installed packages by ubiquity17:35
falktxhere's the full list https://github.com/KXStudio/KXStudio/blob/master/scripts/kxstudio-create-iso#L19917:36
_xsokay, thanks!17:36
falktxso I guess cryptsetup and lvm2 should remain after install17:37
_xsyeah, but17:37
_xsi'll retry in VM after eat and i'll be back with precisions !17:37
_xsbon appetit17:37
falktxyou won't be able to test it; I think17:37
falktxI need to make new ISOs17:37
falktxor you can edit the -desktop manifest in the ISO and add the packages17:38
_xsas you feel it, sure you can keep that apart for the next release17:38
falktxyes17:39
industroAre .iso installs the main way you test kxstudio?  Am I asking for trouble with repos on debian testing?17:40
falktxdebian testing issues have been fixed already17:40
industroI can get zero xruns with my SW and kernel and machine.17:40
falktxI'll write some news soon17:40
falktxindustro: check the kx repos page again for new instructions17:41
falktx_xs: thanks for the info, the next ISOs will keep those 2 packages17:41
_xsquickly I would say lvm2, libcryptfs0 and ecryptfs-utils17:42
industroThis one I have installed:    kxstudio-repos                                  9.2.0~kxstudio117:42
_xsah, cryptsetup-bin too17:42
_xsthanks you sir! :)17:43
falktxindustro: you need to install kxstudio-repos-gcc5 now17:44
falktx_xs: some of those come as dependency of others17:44
industroHmmm.....  they're both installed.  I probably need to delete kxstudio-repos, leave kxstudio-repos-gcc5.17:45
falktxno17:45
falktxyou need both17:45
falktxif you have both, just do an apt-get update17:45
industrokxstudio-repos-gcc5 depends on kxstudio-repos.... nope.  So my system is up to date already.17:46

rbinofalktx, I was using the old repos, now I have to switch to the GCC5 ones since I updated my Debian Testing. Do I have to do something to remove the old ones or do I just install the new ones?20:28
falktxjust install the updates20:29
