aldoHi Do I have to manually delete the old kxstudio repositories and add the new ones? I am using Ubuntu studio04:12
holsteinaldo: what do you have? and what do you want?04:14
aldoI have ubuntu studio and manually added the previous kxstudio repositories but I do not know if the regular updates and upgrades will replace those old kxstudio repos and add the new linuxaudio.org repos04:17
holsteinhttp://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/Repositories04:18
LAbotTitle: KXStudio : Repositories (at kxstudio.linuxaudio.org)04:18
holsteinso, you are using ubuntu? what version? 14.04?04:18
aldolast time i checked was 14.0404:19
holsteinaldo: ?04:19
holsteinaldo: please, do check, before you do anything else... you *can* break things, simply, using the wrong sources in the wrong upstream OS04:19
aldo14.04.204:20
holsteinaldo: anyways, i would simply look at my sources, and either make a note of them, or a backup.. then, run the supplied *.deb and then see what is what..04:20
holsteinits likely just the same..04:20
holsteinno changes to the sources have happened, that im aware of..04:20
aldoI do not see sourceforge listed anywhere on my sources. Maybe my sources were fixed with an upgrade yesterday04:21
holsteinyou can, before doing any of that, run a simple "sudo apt-get update" and see that none of your current sources are 404's04:21
holsteinaldo: it wouldnt have been a "sourceforge" source04:21
aldoOk holstein I will check that none of my sources have a 404 message04:22
aldoI got like four 404 messages two days ago04:25

wolftunefalktx: why did muon get removed just now?13:28
falktxit did?13:28
falktxI only removed it from the recommends13:28
wolftuneI guess I never manually installed it, so it got removed by aptitude13:28
falktxdid you did an "apt-get autoremove"?13:29
wolftunewhy remove from recommends?13:29
falktxcause it doesn't work properly13:29
falktxand I got tired of that13:29
wolftuneit didn't?13:29
falktxyeah, updates that need to remove or install new packages don't work13:29
wolftunewhat did it do wrong?13:29
falktxthe move to new repos is problematic13:30
falktxso for the new ISOs I think it's better to not have it installed by default13:30
wolftunehmm, for whatever reason, I never had issues13:30
wolftuneI liked it in terms of interface and everything13:30
wolftuneare you recommending synaptic then?13:31
falktxyes13:31
wolftunehmm synaptik isn't recognizing my kde visual settings13:35
falktxrun kxstudio-apply-root13:35
wolftunethat didn't fix it13:35
falktx:(13:35
wolftunewould I need to re-log-in or run that with sudo?13:35
falktxthat already runs it with sudo13:36
falktxperhaps I need to add a rule for gtk313:36
falktxyep, it misses the gtk3 rule13:36
wolftunekxstudio-apply-root already uses sudo? It didn't ask for a pass…13:36
falktxyou ran something with sudo before13:36
wolftuneah13:37
falktxudo cp -r ~/.config/gtk-2.0 /root/.config/13:37
falktxerrm13:37
falktxsudo cp -r ~/.config/gtk-2.0 /root/.config/13:38
falktxsudo cp -r ~/.config/gtk-3.0 /root/.config/13:38
falktxthat should do it13:38
falktxI'll update kxstudio-apply-root13:38
wolftuneah better now13:40
falktxnow, does this warrant a new iso. I just built this one13:45
falktxI'll just write it down somewhere to check for updates before running this script I guess13:46

falktxAnyone want to help testing? http://download.linuxaudio.org/kxstudio/14:19
LAbotTitle: Index of /kxstudio (at download.linuxaudio.org)14:19
falktxunless there's some serious bugs with it, I'll consider that ISO final14:19
falktxI'm making the 32bit one now14:19

jabloUuhhh - I get a bad feeling. I clicked "update packages" in synaptic, and it's downloaded a bunch... if things stop working, I guess I have accidentally volunteered to try out your new iso15:21
